potpourri of pleasant posts

Sunday, 5th June

check this out! http://weilyn.blogspot.com/2005/06/once-upon-time-on-sunday-5th-of-june.html

Tuesday, 7th June

Heard on TeeVee: "What's wrong with singing/playing the Negaraku [national anthem] before each show in the cinema? There's nothing wrong with it. It shows our patriotism [gestures] They can just sing it or if they don't want to sing, they stand for how long? It's not very long [smiles shyly] I don't know how long the Negaraku is... Anyway it's just advertisements before the show so I see nothing wrong in standing for the Negaraku [beams benevolently]" our very patriotic Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, getting his timing dead right while commenting on a proposal to have the national anthem played before any screening in any cinema

Wednesday, 8th June

After our final external exam, whose subject I forget, Lyn and I bade our fond farewells to our coursemates. Then it was off to little Nelson's birthday bash with his hooligan guests at some Jap restaurant. A little rushed were we thanks to some unforeseen circumstances as we gobbled down our set-lunches before taking separate routes to the Sg. Nibong bus depot for our honeymoon in Kuala Lumpur.

The bus trip was fun. We arrived in KL in the late evening, hungry, sweaty and much in the mushy mood for love. A few phone calls later, we left the vicinity of Pudu Bus Station for less boring pastures. Like crazed cows on the lam, our stomachs turned our bodies in the direction of Petaling Street's famous "Tai Luk Meen". Fantastic lard fritters bathed in oily black sauce swimming with fat worm-like noodles delighted our dulled senses as we waited with our useless handphones (whose batteries ran flat) for the ever early Ms. Saw Ping May to welcome us to KL. Munch, munch. Chew, chew.

When that pocket dynamite of May did arrive, boy were we relieved! May was the heroine! Oh, the heroin! And the heroine! Her well-timed arrival saved us from us most delicate dish of "Lor Mee"

Then off we went to Bsim's hostel where LyNick caught up on some lost time. Hey, you've gotta be fair to us, no? Time spent eating "Tai Luk Meen" in public Petaling Street is time not spent eating each other = time lost! While Lyn and I were busy exchanging vows for the umpteenth time, each being like the first time, Bsim and May were making out heavily on the other bed. On the pretext of hiding their "innocent" eyes from LyNick's exchanges of devotion, Bsim  and May held up a pillow that obscured their faces but not the noises they were making

Went home (our home for the next few days) to May's apartment...

[the rest of the events are a blur... I'll fill you fellas in when this headache of mine clears]

Thursday, 9th June

after a late lunch, i hailed a cab

in that cosy cab for two did she blab

oh Lyn blabbered on her cellphone

leaving poor me all alone

that being so

me being her beau

i decided we skip the LRT

told Mr. Taximan to drive fast

boy did he drive fast

we were at IMU faster than does last

a

line

here

(this looks like a girl in skirt on floor)

(or a keyhole with cum dripping out)

Followed Lyn to her IMU interview. While waiting for her, I decided to drop in on some interviewers and ask them for a spot-on interview, so that I could join Lyn if her application's successful. The interviewers were very obliging folks. In fact, the first thing they did was invite me to have some of the fruits (pears perhaps?) that they were having. I politely declined. Then I pitched my sale, spun my yarn... only problem was that I had FORGOTTEN to bring my documents with me. Had I done so, getting interviewed there and then would've been no problem. Twenty minutes of leg-shaking and switching roles later, Lyn emerged from her interview happy and surprised!

My baby was beaming 'cause her interview had been pleasant and went without a hitch. Surprised was she to find me in Interview Room 1! HAHAHAHAHA.

An observation I must make here is that the IMU interviews are more clinical in nature than the PMC ones... clinical as in less warm. Lacking the coffee-shop informality. Also, I heard from Lyn that Rach's interviewers (on Fri) were nasty arses. Hmmm....

Late evening (again),

Lyn and I were safely snuggled in Starbucks at Times Square KL when we got a call from Lord Nelson... erm, did we get him the wrong present or something? His lordship thanked us for an RM300.00 "Lego Star Wars AT-AT" set... um, but we had given him an educational game, "UpWords"...

Admiral Nelson, chubby assassin par excellence

wow!

...>shrug< as long as that Admiral was happy, no matter. I say, Lyn has a good gift for selecting gifts for little kiddos. I'm sure our kids will grow up all nerdy the way she wants them to, i.e. she has this brazen idea of making them study till they sleep after swimming lessons. Hmm, mother knows best!

Speaking about mothers, my Mum did speak to me, too. She said something like, "Oh both of you signed the card and mentioned something about nappies... you all ready for kids? How many do you want? Twins?" Goddam! She guesses right! Lyn wants twins... three kids... two boys, one girl in the middle. Yeah, baby!

N.B. for what happened before lunch, click here.

Friday, 10th June

Another day of waking up to the comely countenance of my cute cupcake!

Went for the MPO (Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra) concert of a Spanish guitarist. Wasn't the passionate playing I expected. More clinical than anything, but good anyhow since I can't play a single instrument to save my life!

N.B. *someone* seems to have disliked my rather laid-back attitude on this day. Might I remind that *someone*, I was bored to death in the bookstore! And that *someone* dragged me to dinner too late!!!

Saturday, 11th June

Homeward bound! LyNick is/are homeward bound.

Bought "Plusliner" bus tickets. Only realised too late that we were at the KTMB station because we wanted a bus that would drop us off at "Garden Inn" opp. KDU. Bloody "Plusliner" goes to Sg. Nibong. But what could we do? There were no buses for 2.30pm and we wanted to get back to Penang ASAP for dinner. Ah, well. So we happily boarded a 1/4 full (3/4 empty, if you will) bus.

Verdict: "Plusliner" buses suck! Something wrong with the suspension, the whole bus rattles at resonance over every bump. It took 5½ hours to reach Penang!!! 5½ hours! "Konsortium" buses cost the same price, are more comfortable, and reach in take only 4+/- hours.

Back in Penang, my parents picked us up from the Sg. Nibong bus depot. After some wrangling, I reminded them that I was NOT having dinner with them, and that I had told them the day before the trip that I wouldn't be having dinner with them when I came back to Penang. Whatever.

After a short stop at the Aw residence to collect the rest of the Aw boys, we left for Lyn's. Near Lyn's house...

...Lyn was engaged in a rather loud conversation with May, and my Dad, the driver, caught snatches of Lyn's sonic-boomy talk...

lynick reviewing what happened

... HAHAHA! so my Dad said that crazy thing in green font! Indeed, we were blur from the tiring trip. Lyn even managed to catch a few winks on the moving bus contrary to her assertions that she couldn't sleep in moving vehicles including long-haul flights! Must be my presence... yep, perasan am I!

N.B. the MAD jeep is maroon in colour, contrary to Lyn's eyewitness account!

Went out for dinner at "Sigi's by the Sea". Lyn's treat... using some voucher + RM50.00... a great meal it would've been but for my gastritis! @$!#$ the gastritis/stomach flu/whatever-the-#@$*-it-was. I had been looking forward to this dinner since before the external exams when Lyn first told me about it... [hey I think my syntax and grammar are going bonkers... I'm so sleepy now!] Anyways, after dinner, Lyn drove so extremely cautiously home at high speed that my stomach tried to feel better, but failed. Her mother, the ever delightful Mdm. Chuah Li Sim, gave me 3 ultracarbon tabs and a Buscopan pill. The Buscopan pill according to me Dad is for kitar haid kinda stuff... but who cares! It worked for me...

..Lyn was the most wonderful wife cum nurse cum doctor as she took great care of  me as I writhed in agony on her bed. It's been ages since I've come down with gastritis. The last time I did, I had no gal to take care of me. Doc Lyn was superb. Not only did she treat my gastritis with the help of Nurse Li Sim, she went the extra mile to make me feel at home. I won't go into details here. Suffice to say, her extra services are not for your palate:

Bonus!

in the vein of the pop-up porno sites that are plaguing my Lyn's IE (Internet Explorer), here are some "porn" samples,

No captions req'd... just ur imagination, be it clean or sick! For comments on this strip from my sweetheart, see pic below.

If you hep cats wanna comment, do so using the link below!

p.s. there are quite a lot of thins I missed out on. Too tired mentally and physically. After all, on Monday the 13th, Lyn made me *** thrice so of course I'm physically drained! Mentally I'm fatigued from lack of sleep, I guess. So click here for Lyn's account of LyNick's honeymoon.

Edit!

To those who read my husband's entry on the same topic
  1. For God's sake (and mine), it was clean underwear
  2. No I did NOT do anything that involved anything that looked like this : 8====D
  3. No I did NOT tell him to put the film strip on the blog; I was telling him NOT to put it!
  4. In the line "...Lyn made me *** thrice...", *** does not mean anything that you think it means. It's just something from Nick's wet dreams. (Hey, it rhymes!)
  5. Yes! Pmay and Bsim were making out heavily on the latter's roommate's bed!
  6. Nelson has a cute little fuzzy wabbit bedsheet!
  7. MAD is maroon-meh? It's dark purple lah, I swear!! Two-thirds of the AwMobiles are purple!!
  8. Yes, Buscopan is for kitar haid but MIMS and DIMS say it's for spasms, too!

note: as seen at 2.15am, 14.06.2005 @ http://weilyn.blogspot.com/2005/06/hey-peeps-i-know-you-guys-have-been.html

To those who have read/will read my wife's entry:

1. she's lying about #1, she knows where & what it came off of

2. Do you really wanna know, dear reader? *wink*

3. TRUE, the film-strip was my idea... not hers.

4. FALSE. I don't have wet dreams nowadays. I don't need 'em. She makes them cum true. Wet-day-dreaming with Lyn!

5. TRUE!

6. TRUE! cute, eh? *smiles*

7. Maroon, you maroon! TRUE that all 3 cars have part of the blue/purple spectrum.

8. Homer Simpson says besides combating spasms, orgasms does Buscopan bring.

Theme Song

In Love In Vain
(Leo Robin & Jerome Kern)

[click on the "play" button to hear
a low-res version of this song
by Dick Haymes & Helen Forrest. best played with mp3PRO decoder]

Love can be a blessing,
But also most depressing,
And I don't mind confessing
That I feel mighty Blue!

It's only human for anyone
To want to be in love
But who wants to be
In love in vain?

At night you hang around the house
And eat your heart out
And cry your eyes out
And wrack your brain.

You sit and wonder
Why anyone as wonderful as she
Should cause you such misery & pain
I thought that I would be in Heaven,

But I'm only up a tree
Cause it's just my luck to be
In love in vain!

LOVE, n.
1. A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.
- Ambrose Bierce

2. A man's insane desire to become a woman's meal-ticket.
- Gideon Wurdz
